He has long been fascinated by Durer’s Apocalypse, and for the biennale he has printed the complete 1511 Latin edition, with Koberger’s text, on 16 t-shirts which he will exhibit. He believes this to be the first time an early printed book has been printed in its entirity on t-shirts.He will also paint while wearing the Apocalypse shirts around empty Venice, and exhibit the resultant art works.

Bucknell was born in London, and studied Art History at Edinburgh University and Painting at Camberwell College. He started painting while living on a barge in Paris, and went mad. He has exhibited internationally, and organised 6 Luxury Goods festivals, celebrating different aspects of the meaning of art in 50 words.
