Philip Mann grew up in Berlin and London. Since obtaining a BA (First ClassHonours) in the History of Art, Design and Film he has lived in London as afreelance author, curator and lecturer. He has curated the major retrospective of the Archigram group of architects in Vienna and published articles in variousnewspapers and magazines including Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Vogue. He has also edited the anthology: “Geld muss man in der Tasche haben, sonstgeht das Schwein nicht aus dem Wege: Bittbriefe von W. A. Mozart bis HenryMiller” published by Berlin Press in 2008 and contributed essays to books for example: “HöUlichkeit: Aktualität und Genese von Umgangsformen” published by Wilhelm Fink Verlag in 2002. Philip Mann has lectured on matters dandiaecal in Bern, New York, London and Vienna. In 2017 his long-term book project The Dandy at Dusk – Taste and Melancholy in the 20th Century was published by Head of Zeus, London.
